Asbestos Case Studies

Asbestos is a group of minerals that look like long, thin fibres. When disturbed, the fibres float in the air, and can be easily breathed into the lungs.

Exposure to asbestos over long periods of time has been linked to the development of serious respiratory diseases and cancers, including mesothelioma, lung cancer, asbestosis, and other conditions. The time lag between significant inhalation of asbestos and any adverse health manifestations can be as long as 30 or more years.
