About Us
The history of Amiante STR Ltd is defined by its growth from a regional specialist into a prominent, nationwide Licensed Asbestos Removal Contractor (LARC). The company has evolved significantly through its integration into the Collard Group, a major UK demolition and waste management group. The company was officially incorporated on 21 June 2012 as a private limited company. It established its early operations base near Portsmouth, Hampshire, serving domestic, commercial, and industrial clients across the South of England. Over its first decade, Amiante STR expanded its presence by establishing regional offices in London and Kent. In June 2022, Amiante STR Ltd reached a major turning point when it was acquired by the Collard Group, a massive demolition, earthworks, and waste management provider. This acquisition absorbed Amiante STR into Collard's broader contracting division, enabling them to offer self-delivered, end-to-end site clearance and structural demolition packages. Amiante STR holds the maximum 3-year health and safety executive (HSE) licence to work with high-risk asbestos-containing materials (ACMs). This permits them to undertake both licensed and non-licensed remediation work. According to the HSE Licensed Asbestos Removal Contractors Register, their active licence runs through 4 April 2028.
