At Collard Group, we’re proud of our environmental commitments, and our ongoing fleet replacement policy, which sees us re-invest up to £10 million in our fleet, plant, and equipment to ensure we’re running the latest kit with the highest safety standards and the lowest possible emissions too.
That’s why our team was delighted to trial a Volvo FMX Electric tipper, with the team immediately putting the new vehicle into action. So far, the electric tipper lorry is performing well and the feedback from our fleet team and drivers has been positive.
The vehicle is part of Volvo’s drive towards quieter and cleaner construction transportation – without compromising on productivity, making the FMX Electric a great fit for our needs and those of our customers too. Volvo’s FMX Electric lorries can carry up to 44 tonnes of material, with a range of up to 300km, or around 185 miles.
Commenting on the trial, our group Transport Compliance Manager, Hayleigh Russell, said: “At Collard, we are dedicated to achieving Net Zero and this initiative represents a significant step forward towards our investment in a sustainable future and environmental protection.”
