The actions listed within the management survey shall state either the ACM to be removed, to repair & encapsulate or state that no action is necessary, if the ACM is found to be in a good, undamaged condition.
The encapsulation of ACM is a method used to make the product safe for it to remain within the premises and managed accordingly. Encapsulation is an alternative to removal which is a cost-effective solution to the ongoing management of ACM’s within occupied premises. The asbestos material is sealed behind a protective coating and labelled accordingly.
