Asbestos Removals

All buildings that were constructed prior to the year 2000 has the potential to contain asbestos containing materials.

On completion of the asbestos survey all ACM that requires removal from the premises, shall be completed utilizing a variety of methodologies under either locally or fully controlled asbestos conditions. The classification of the type of identified material shall determine the correct methodology for completion of working on the ACM.

The material type shall either be a licensed product or a non-licensed product. Under usual circumstances the licensed product shall require work completion from within a bespoke enclosure running under negative pressure. Non-licensed products can be worked on from within a respirator / exclusion zone.

There are circumstances where this rule is not true to the works being completed. Amiante STR’s team of experienced professionals shall ensure that the correct methodology is being employed by completing a risk assessment for each product at the time of tendering for works.
